Support
Every gift pays for the concerts we present across Los Angeles and for the young musicians who play them. Admission to what we present is free, which means the audience never pays at the door — our donors do.

What your gift does
Concerts that cost nothing to attend
We present chamber concerts in Los Angeles and help bring concerts by partner institutions to venues around the city. Keeping admission free is a deliberate choice: it removes the one barrier that keeps people out of a room where music is being played well.
Young musicians, early
Support for talented players from challenging financial backgrounds — the years when an instrument, a lesson or the airfare to an audition decides whether a career begins at all.
Los Angeles and Seoul
Placing musicians from the city’s conservatories as soloists with the Seocho Philharmonia in Seoul, with reciprocal appearances for Seoul-based artists here.
Other ways
to give

Matching gifts
Many employers match charitable contributions. If yours does, our legal name is LAVS Foundation and our EIN is 85-0813360.
Sponsoring a concert
If you would like a gift to underwrite a particular concert or an exchange placement, please write to us and we will tell you what a given programme costs.
For your records
Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for a gift unless we tell you otherwise in writing at the time. A copy of the Foundation’s IRS determination letter and its annual filings are available on request.
